Privacy Notice

1. Who is responsible?

This event is hosted by Tampereen Jousiampujat (hereafter referred to as LOC) on behalf of World Archery Nordic (WAN). WAN is a general term referring to the cooperation of the Nordic national archery federations.

Your data is collected by your national club (with parental consent when applicable) and shared with your national federation (WAN Member) for registration purposes. The national federation compiles the list from all clubs and sends the official registration list to the event LOC. No data is sold to third-party marketers. Your data is processed jointly by the LOC and your national federation to manage the registration, competition, official rankings, and results.

2. Purpose & Legal Basis

  • Registration & Participation: Your name, gender, date of birth, club, country, dietary needs and other relevant information is collected to manage your entry and safety (Contractual Necessity).
  • Historical Archiving: Final results (such as name, gender, division, class, score,
    country/club represented) will be permanently published and archived as a matter of Public Interest.
  • Media: Photos and videos will be taken, published and stored for the promotion of the sport during and after the event and to serve as a historical record of archery participation in the Nordic countries (Legitimate Interests). You may opt-out by contacting the registration desk at the event. A bright coloured ribbon, lanyard or similar will be provided to you by the LOC that you must wear to notify all media and other participants at the event to avoid taking identifiable photos or videos of you. During alternate shooting livestreams if one athlete has opted out the cameras will not show that athlete during the streaming of that match and will only show the athletes target face during the match, the other athlete may be shown. If both athletes have opted out then only the target faces of the match will be shown and not the athletes.

3. Data Sharing & Retention

Administrative data will be deleted at the latest 2 years after the event. Dietary and medical requirements will be deleted within 30 days of the event conclusion. Competition results are kept indefinitely for sporting history.

4. Your Rights

You can request erasure of all your data or some of your data (for example a specific photo or video) from the relevant party at any time by contacting them. Note that erasure of official competition results is generally not possible as they form part of a permanent historical record (GDPR Article 89).
