Local transportation

Public transport

All competitors will receive free travel rights on local buses and trams (Nysse) during the competition days. We will also offer the same transport ticket option for coaches and parents as part of a package which includes also lunches in competition center.

The method for transport between the school accommodation and competition center is local public transport. Bus line number 7 runs regularly between Tesoma center and Mustavuori competition center (bus stop Salmenranta, 1767). The bus stop in Tesoma (Tesoma F) is about 500 meters from school accommodation in front of shopping center Westeri. See below map for more information.

Same bus line (number 7) runs also between Tampere city center and Mustavuori competition center (bus stop Salmenranta, 1768). This is one option for traveling to competition center for those participants who are staying in hotels at the city center. See map below for more information.

Organized bus transport for school accommodation

We will provide also an organized bus transport between school accommodation and competition center.

This option will be used to provide an additional bus service options for those periods when public bus transport is running less frequently. This option will be free of charge for those staying in school accommodation.

Departure times for the transport are below. Please note that:

  • The daily schedules may change slightly if the competition ends earlier/later.
  • The bus can accommodate a maximum of 50 passengers, thus it needs to make two trips to transport all guests staying in school accommodation. Coaches staying at the school are responsible for making sure that the competitors are divided evenly between the trips.

Taxis

There are several taxi companies operating in Tampere area and you can always get a taxi from any taxi stand at the city center. E.g. Uber, Bolt and Taksi Tampere are few of the taxi companies operating in Tampere area.

Car

For those who arrive to Mustavuori competition center either by own or rental car, there is a large parking area available next to competition center. See the Competition center page for more information.

In case you need a rental car, there are several companies operating in Tampere (e.g. Hertz).
